Things we love at Olyfkrans - Pholani Sikele
The best thing that has
happened to me in Olyfkrans is that my brothers go to this school. Not my birth
brothers - my school brothers. They are my new family that I’ve adopted at
Olyfkrans.
The bad part of it is
when we fight with one another and say the most horrible things to each other,
but in the end we make up because we are brothers, it does not matter how long
it takes, but eventually we always make up.
The other thing I like
is that we all have nick names, it could be the funny ones we call one another
for example mpanhla boy, Captain hook, Cesar, Bucks bunny and box , at the end
we all have a jolly good laugh at each other and we never get offended.
This school knows
what’s right for us especially on Saturday when we are all “convinced” to go on
an outing to the mountain when we don’t want to. We take our phones to keep us
company on the way there and have a little fun on the bus by showing each other
funny videos or voice notes, when we arrive at our destination we all sigh, but
then we jump out and race each other to the top and laugh how tired we look.
Then the fun only begins, we explore the outdoors and discover new things we’ve
never seen before, but when someone see a baboon we all panic like a posh women
that has broken her nail.
When it is night time
we go to town to buy pizza’s, Gatsby’s and snacks so we don’t have a major case
of the munchies which my dorm and the other three dormitories get. When we get
back to school, it’s time for visiting rights, it’s when we all visit our
friends in other dorms so we can have a little fun and do crazy things. That’s
what I love of being in this school, the adrenalin of the excitement never
ENDS.

Friday is Braai day!
It is that time again to put a worsie on the grid and a potato in the pot. Worker's day will be spent next to the fire, chilling with a few friends, telling a couple of jokes and working on our knowledge of braai skills. The most essential talent every proud African should master.
