This year we have changed things around a bit. The grade 8 and 9's are doing advanced Computer Literacy at Olyfkrans. We use the latest Office package available and we are learning all about referencing, bibliographies, creating fantastic animated slide shows, using word processing programs and much more.
I am very excited and inspired by this! I have been with a computer company for 18 years now as a programmer and shareholder and we really struggle to appoint new people fresh out of school because what they have learned, usually applies to skills that only cater for the 20th century world. But the world has now drastically changed with newly introduced challenges (e.g. ethical, political and ecological) and we can only tackle these challenges with new technology together with a new mindset. And it seams that you are well on your way!@
